Potawatomi

The Potawatomi are a tribe that dates back to 1600 and originated in the northerern area of Lower Michigan.  This tribe began leaving this area in 1641 and moved to the West side of Lake Michigan, known as northern Wisconsin.
By 1665 all of the Potawatomi were living on Wisconsin's Door Peninsula just east of Green Bay.
