Cyberschool Hosts LYFE OnLine Launch

December 10, 2001

Cyberschool played host to the launch of a new website by the Multicultural Center for Educational Excellence on Friday, December 7. LYFE On-Line (www.lyfeonline.org) is a multipurpose website designed to encourage youth, particularly underserved youth, to pursue higher education opportunities.

After an introduction to the site, students--with their wireless laptops--were allowed to explore the new website and participate in its activities. The site includes information, advice, games, and activity sheets for students of all grade levels.

LYFE On-Line was made possible through the generosity of SBC-Ameritech and University of Wisconsin's Multicultural Center for Educational Excellence. LYFE On-Line is a free website.

Attendees at the launch included Greg Ware, Director of MCEE; Andrea-Teresa Arenas, Assistant VP for Academic Affairs, UWSA; children from grade school through high school; various Cyberschool staff.
