Governor Scott McCallum visited Central City Cyberschool during his brief stay in Milwaukee. The Governor observed a multiage class of 3rd-5th graders studying music by interacting with a website. Each child in the class sat at a desk and watched the teacher, Ms. Hockerman, demonstrate the website via a SMARTBoard and ceiling-mounted projector. The effect was that the students were watching the Internet being projected and, at the same time, interacting with the website on their own laptops.
Ms. Hockerman had the students complete accompanying worksheets while she and Mr. Hogan, an educational assistant, traveled around the room to help with individual students's needs.
