What is a Glyph?

Glyphs teach children to consult a legend, follow directions, and convey information about themselves. Typical materials for making glyphs include construction paper, scissors, paste or glue, and crayons.

• SKI CAP= "I am a boy"; Ear muffs="I am a girl"
• BROOM= "I like snow"; Shovel="I don't like snow"
• SCARF=solid means winter is my favorite season; striped means winter is not my favorite season
• Purple boots go sledding; Red build forts; Blue throw snowballs
